When design/restoration plans are complete and funds are available, bids will be solicited from contractors for reconstruction/restoration.

A committee, led by local historical society staff members, will be established to make applications for state restoration grants.

We will continue to collect local historical memorabilia and artifacts.

We will appoint a committee to conduct video/audio tape interviews with local “old timers” and Jupiter Island historians regarding the history of Hobe Sound and Jupiter Island.

We will arrange consultations with local and state historical societies re exhibits, conservation of artifacts, etc.

For the advancement of education, we will conduct meetings with local school teachers/staff to establish ways to incorporate local history and visits to the restored school building into classroom curriculum.

We will meet with local chamber of commerce and other interested organizations to establish a needs assessment of a community meeting place to promote cultural arts.

Our fundraising committee will continue to develop community fundraising activities. For example: “Meet Me In the Schoolyard”, Apollo School Loyalty Day (business owners donate percentage of daily profits), Ol’ Fashioned School Carnival, Apollo School Homecoming.
